Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt created history once again as he claimed his title as the fastest man alive on earth for the third time by winning gold in 100 meters with 9.81sec at Rio Olympics. He has regained the title he had won at Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
At the start of the race, it genuinely seemed that Justin Gatlin was too far ahead and had absolutely stormed out of the blocks as he was a fair distance ahead at around 60 metre, but the incredible Bolt squalled back and just – JUST – piped Gatlin to it. Gatlin took home the silver.
On his spectacular win, Bolt said to BBC, “Somebody said I can become immortal. Two more medals to go and I can sign off. Immortal.”
We can’t agree enough! It was a heart in mouth moment when Bolt won his seventh Olympic gold.
Fantastic! What a man!
