Pune Fashion Week witnessed a dazzling show with celebrated fashion designer Pria Kataaria Puri who showcased her collection ‘Pura Vida’ that had a fusion of vivacious hues and ethnic prints inspired by Kashmiri paisley designs. Each outfit was a masterpiece in itself that every girl would want to have in her wardrobe.
The show was opened with actor Arslan Goni walking the ramp in a V-neck Kurta and Churidar pants, and former Miss India and actor Puja Gupta was the show-stopper who looked ravishing in a short golden dress.
After a day of too many bridal collections being showcased, Puri’s ‘Pura Vida’ brought freshness on the ramp and pepped up everyone’s mood. All that could be heard was applause, cheers and whistles by the end of the show.
‘Pura Vida’, which in Costa Rican means pure life, is a collection that embodies a fashionista’s take on her own life. Keeping true to its name, the ‘Pura Vida’ collection is all about effortless style, elegance and a true epitome of femininity. It incorporates new styles of kaftan silhouettes like a maxi kaftan, off-shoulder and cold-shoulder cuts, jumpsuits, palazzos, dresses, tops, blouses and rompers in pure Italian silk. The colour palette is of warm earthen shades of burgundy, yellow, red, black, off-white, olive and leaf green. Chantilly lace, mirror and gold sequined lace, and antique gold metallic leaf embellishments added an enchanting touch.
“I believe every woman is beautiful irrespective of any size, colour or nationality and my clothes are suited best for any size and mood”, says Puri.
The show was dedicated to Smile Foundation, a charitable organization which provides education for underprivileged children, girl child, and gives support for poor children’s health.
Guests in the front row were Michelle and Yohan Poonawalla and Rasika Wakalkar amongst many others who came to extend their support to Puri.
